Benefice of Farleigh,

Candovers and Wield

Our Priest

Hello, I am the Revd Jennifer Wright, Rector of Farleigh, Candover and Weild whose parishes have a total of 9 churches.

Since starting my vocational journey I have been blessed to have worked, volunteered or been on placements and pilgrims where I have had the opportunity to experience different forms of ministry, which include Army Chaplaincy, Prison Chaplaincy, spending time experiencing a monastic lifestyle. I have experienced overseas ministry in Jerusalem, South and North Africa, plus urban and rural ministry here in the UK.
What I have learnt through these differing experiences is how, no matter who you are or if you do not even have any faith, we are lucky to still be loved by God.

Away from church I like to set myself personal challenges and over the years they have included completing a solo parachute jump, a wing walk, several aerobatic flights, swimming with wild Sting-Rays and going on the the Uk's largest and fastest zipwire. Being a Rector of a large benefice may sound easy compared to the above but it comes with its own set of challenges but  thankfully they can be just as rewarding.

I feel blessed to be working, living and worshipping within these beautiful parishes and churches.

Please do get in touch if you have any questions about one of our local churches, church services or would like to know what to expect if you are thinking about coming to church for the first time.

Jennifer
